i love pride and prejudice! both the book and movie. well i prefer the movie than the book. and by movie, i mean the 2005 version. i don't really like old movies. it annoys me. i can only go as far as 1998 probably. cartoons are ok if they're old, but it bothers me too.
anywayyy, i love the movie, the book, and the soundtrack! omg the soundtrack is amaaaazing! the acting was very impressive and entertaining, the story cut to the point and left out unnecesarry details that was in the book (which made the book drag on). the only thing i didn't like about the movie were some parts were they changed the famous lines up (mr. darcy's first proposal) and the ending was unsatisfying.
but besides that, i don't think i can stop watching it numerous times :]. the casting was splendid (and i now know why sonia kept complaining about keira knightley's boobs. reminds me of mine LOL) and i really loved how kiera and matthew macfayden played their parts. just like how i imagined it and better. kiera captured elizabeth's playful nature, while matthew captured mr. darcy's pride (though sometimes a little too much. but then again he showed sentimentality when needed and that was good).
mr. bingley reminded me of edward cullen: charming, pale with lightly-colored touseled hair. except bingley is a bit of a dork (not in the way i like it) and is ugly sometimes when he gets embarassed. i LOVE mrs. bennet. she played the part so well :]]. and i LOVE mr. collins. he was so short and he's so funny lol. the way he played his character hehehe. so funny.
so that movie is off my "must watch" list. another off the list is he's just not that into you. and as the movie progressed, it began to relate even more to me than ever. with that said, i shall copy and paste the closing lines of the movie which have now become my guiding words towards life:
"Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up. If a guy punches you he likes you. Never try to trim your own bangs and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. Every movie we see, Every story we're told implores us to wait for it, the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. But sometimes we're so focused on finding our happy ending we don't learn how to read the signs. How to tell from the ones who want us and the ones who don't, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. And maybe a happy ending doesn't include a guy, maybe... it's you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is... just... moving on. Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the unreturned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment you never gave up hope."
